Advice for the draft
on screen, most important first, each marked with where it comes from. Your team and Standings: your
projected rank in each category against every other team. League trend: the categories the other teams' picks
are thin in. Value alert: a good player fallen well past his V Rank or ADP. Tier cliff: the last of a tier
at a position you still need. Rivals: the GMs picking before you, from their Mirror profiles. Roster:
starting spots against picks left.
🏆 Champion habit: what
the last three Degens champions' drafts had in common: Team Trash (2023-24), Sonk (2024-25) and Sore Losers Club
(2025-26), each set against the rest of that year's league and how their players actually played.
Goalies: all three waited, first goalie in rounds 4, 6 and 5, while the league took its first around
round 3 to 4, and all three drafted three (the league 2.6 to 2.8). Their goalies still ranked top 3 in wins every year.
Round 2: all three took a top D (Fox, Dahlin, Werenski). Lopsided: each dominated 5 to 7 categories and
gave up 3 or 4; two of the three conceded faceoffs. Late rounds: every one found a top-100 skater after round 10.
Waivers: the 2025-26 champion made 90 claims, the median team 43, and Team Trash won with the 13th-best draft
of 16.
The tips are worked out from the draft as it stands: your roster, your projected rank in each category
against every other team (as in Standings), and who's left. They change with every pick. Three seasons are three
seasons: treat these as a champion's habits, not laws.
